How to fish Lake Tahoe?
I've done some research on how to fish the lake but every website had the same answer: Trolling. Now, the boat I'll be going out on is a small inflatable with a motor and probably won't be going too far from shore. So trolling isn't really an option because we don't have the proper gear for that. So I just want to know what can I catch and on what lures or bait. Or any other tips you feel like sharing. We'll be fishing from the north shore. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
if where you are is close enough to fish the lake where streams or creeks dump into it, fish there right before and into dusk. pull up close enough to cast into the creek or stream and let your bait roll back down and into the lake. you can use any kind of baits there from Zeke's to power even velveeta cheese. at dawn be on the water where the mountains are shading the surface and cast spinners, kastmasters, super dupers, blue fox, mepps or whatever everyone else lists and cast out to different locations (like the different times of the clock) counting down to different seconds allowing the lures to drop and then reel them back at a very steady retrieve (as slow as you can that allows the blades to spin and continue spinning) start as close to shore as you can and move out staying if you can in the shadows as long as you can.

I worked at a camp on the coast and here were our codes: * Camper name, report *immediately* to the swim lake. (immediately was the signal that the camper was missing during a head count at the swim lake and is presumed drowned. The camp shuts down, lifeguards start diving, and counselors check all the motorboats/sailboats, golf course, etc. No kid has ever drowned. Though one died of an unknown heart defect and 2 non-campers drowned on the public beach next door and we had to help search.
