repair aluminum boat
Is it possible to use bondo to repair leak in aluminum?
I have an aluminum boat with small leak on a seam. will bondo seal the seam.
It may seal it but your best bet would be a metal repair putty such as Quik Steel or JB Weld. It may take a couple packs of JB weld to do the trick but it will hold. It is incredible stuff, i have used it on many projects and saved alot of money.

In the trades we use something similar to what you described on scaffolds, it's called a spring rivet.
make a boat that displaces more water (weight) than the 300 gram you're trying to float.
find how much does 500 grams of water weigh. 500 grams is used so that you have 200 grams extra, for the boat and minor leaks your boat may have.
then use a simple design. the hot glue and sticks is edued ot make a basic frame. if you don't make one, the boat will be flimsy and likely to sink. to find how big the frame is, get the 500 grams of water, find its volume, and figure out the size of the box to hold 500 grams of water. Use this box to build the frame.
then glue foil around the frame with more hot glue. hot glue is water proof and glues well. test your design every step of the way, for leaks in a tub of water.
when you're done, you have a ugly boxy boat that holds at least 300 grams of material since it displaces 500 (or more) grams of water.
if you're good with buildign things, you can figure out how to build your boat more boaty than a square box of foil. It'll still work, but it'll take much mor effort.
