wakeboard Boat
I have an outboard motor boat. Can i still wakeboard?
I am TOTALLY new to the whole wakeboarding. I am DYING to learn this summer and it looks like alot of fun. Thing is, we have a 19 ft outboard motor boat and I tube in the summer as well, soo my boat isnt exactly a "ski boat" can I still learn to wakeboard?
So if anyone has any other good tips, I would LOVE to hear them (ex: how to figure out which size board I need)
yes! you can definitley learn on an outboard. as long as your boat has a big enough engine to get you up and go about 21- 24 mph. the size of the board depends on height weight etc. check out liquidforce.com or hyperlite.com to look at boards, they have sizing charts and stuff

Choosing the ride wakeboard boat will help you to create the right type of wakes. Unlike ordinary boats, wakeboard boats come with a device that creates a larger wake. These wakes allow you to do aerial tricks while jumping from side to side. Although choosing a wakeboard boat seems like an easy process there are actually multiple types that you need to choose between.
The most popular form of wakeboard boats is those with a vDrive, which are the ones that have the engine at the back of the boat. Typically these are referred to as inboard boats. However, other wakeboard boats can be direct drive boats that have the engine in the middle of the boat.
