I am looking at a New Sea Ray 260 sundancer ?
I am just looking for an unbiased opinion on the quality of the boat.
When you think about it, most manufacturers use Volvo or Mercruiser drives. So the design and workmanship is the main variable. I think SeaRay gets a B+ on both. All boats have minor leaks and equipment that fail under the warranty period, but these are repairable. It's things like access to the eng. compartment, visibility at the helm, usability of the anchor compartment that are harder to judge. I recommend that you spend sometime "poking around the boat you choose, and make sure you like it "best"!

i have a 1994 sea ray the trim doesnot work how do i fix it?
the beige pump broke flooded boat after fixing . now the trim doesnot work how do i fix it? is it a fuse?
If it's a inboard it probably has a Bennett trim unit, look on the transom that's where it's can be found.there are fuses but if it went under water the pump motor is shot.Look for the small black hoses 2 on each side of the transom there connected to the pump.

I recently aquired a 2003 Model 226 and I would like to put a Garmin or equivalent GPS /Sounder unit on the boat. It's going to have a 5″ or 6″ screen, so it is a somewhat large unit. The helm on the boat is very attractive and functional but also leaves me scratching my head as to where to install the display. I am surrounded by Sea Ray boats that have a comparable unit installed, but looking over how and where hasn't given me any help. There just doesn't seem to be a great place to put the unit. Has anyone installed something similar to the GPS on the dash or around and where did you select to place the unit to give good access while underway?
