bass Boat
my bass boat has been sitting for 2 months,turns over wont start,could the gas have water in it already?
battery is charged,its a 150 johnson(cold natured).can i add rubbing alchohol to help?
Probably the gas in the engine has evaporated. Have you primed it to get a good flow of fuel?

Any guy should feel lucky to have a gal that loves the outdoors and wants to fish with him. I've been looking for 20 years! But, alas, I haven't found one out here. And you are probably gorgeous too right?
Kinda Just Kidding bout the dumping him thing.
First off, I commend the fact that you want to learn. Bass are a finicky group of beings. But with that, they are a very predictable group too.
Being from the West I haven't had the ability to just go out and find bass around home. I HAVE to go look. Usually 50 to 150 miles away. I have to make the most out of my time. There are a few generalized answers I can give you, but different tactics work at different times.
First:
I don't care what the pros say ~ Equipment doesn't matter.(As long as your line is the right test and new, and your hooks are sharp.) I have seen some HUGE bass caught on kiddie poles.
And if I had only one lure to ever use I'd say;
Plastic worm – favorite color? Dark Red. It is the only worm I use anymore. A 10" red shad curly tail plastic worm by Berkley. I have caught fish as Small as 3" bass, 4" catfish, 2" bluegill, and bass up to 10 lbs on it regularly.
The smallest size I would use, is a 7" worm. Smaller fish are not afraid of biting when they are in the mood, and bigger fish love the chance to get an easy big meal.
Fish it? Slooooow. keep it moving all the time, but slowly. You will get bites if the fish are there, just about any time of the year.
But first, find a clear pool of water (or if you have a pool even better) and just watch what your lure does. Fast and slow, up and down. S-t-u-d-y the way it moves in the water, the way it goes over sticks, rocks, and through grass. Imagine it alive…. what do YOU have to do to make it swim that way? A little practice and I am sure you can make a plastic worm out fish your so-called boyfriends tackle.
As far as jig fishing goes, I recommend the same, be sure to slow it down, and be sure to practice with it.
I fish a small pond near the house frequently. I catch small bluegill and tiny bass, but I PRACTICE…. I can now feel the slightest strike, tell whether I have a small bass taking my worm, stuck on a limb, or picked up a leaf. I out fish friends all the time when we are out, because I can feel things they can't. And I love it. But, I will tell anybody at anytime what I am doing.
I wish that for one day I could come help you fish and teach you a little, but I do hope I helped a little here.
