Why are the British all BP apologists?
It seems like a lot of British folks are defending BP against White House criticism and even Tony Hayward's most recent glitzy yacht outing in England. So many are saying that BP is a multinational company and it hasn't been called British Petroleum for 10 years blah blah blah, but the moment Americans find legitimate reason to criticize this company for producing one of the greatest ecological disasters in American history, the British seem to feel the need to defend BP against negative American sentiment.
I think you'll find the majority of people in Britain feel BP acted irresponsibly and let profit get in the way of safety.
Most British people also know that more Americans work for BP than Britons, and that oil companies from Britain, Holland, France and America have been responsible for ecological disasters all over the world. It's a shame that America is only paying attention now it's in their back yard.

Unfortunately I have had the displeasure of knowing many people who were content to lay around on their lazy butts scrounging everything the govt. would give them. And NO they did not want to work, they were just lazy losers who felt entitled to have taxpayers make their way in life. Whats the point of people being offered education when about half of these welfare scums don't want to go to school because they might miss an episode of Jerry Springer. There are 2 sides to every story. There is a man at my husbands work who happens to get into "accidents" at every job he has had so he can scrounge off of disability. Luckily he was caught and now he can't even get welfare, this guy had a job paying him $40/hr and he was content to lay home and pretend he was hurt to scrounge off the government because he was too lazy to work, does it sound like he wants to work to you?????
Your Utopian Society does not and probably never will exist……This is the Real Thing…..
