Should I buy a polaris Virage 2002 800i jet ski?
I know almost next to nothing about PWC's. It was just serviced and has a new battery. 90 hours on the engine. Comes with two life vests and a trailer. The only thing that is wrong with it is that the reverse lever is broken. Apparently about an 80 dollar dealership fix. My friend only wants 1000 for it. I rode it last summer and it seemed to work well then. Seems like a good deal but I know that these things can be money pits. Seems like I could flip it for a little more after riding it this summer.
I wouldn't buy it. Polaris doesn't make PWC's anymore.(they were not very reliable). Parts may not be easy to obtain. I would stick to Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda. SeaDoo's are OK. Some of the older rotax engines were not that great.
Search ebay. You'll get a good idea of what a fair price is.
