Sen. Kerry snaps over yacht tax scandal and tried to dodge questions about his new $7 million, 76-foot yacht.
On Friday, the Boston Herald reported that the Massachusetts Democrat had berthed his yacht Isabel in Rhode Island and suggested he was seeking to avoid paying about $437,000 in sales tax and an annual excise tax of around $70,000 that would be levied if he berthed the vessel in Massachusetts.
Rhode Island has no sales tax on yachts.

FYI, look up what happened when Prsident Clinton decided to Tax Luxury items, specifically yachts. It is a prime example of “trickle down” working perfectly, Or in this case, what happens when the trickle is removed. TL;DR Clinton put huge taxes on yachts, thinking it wouldnt matter to rich, yacht sales dropped by huge numbers, and caused many yacht building companies to go bankrupt, >>> lose of many blue collar jobs.

The fact remains that big insurance by refusing care to patients and reimbursement to doctors over typos has ticked everyone off. They have a monopoly over the whole process and a well financed lobby team (including Lieberman's wife) and representatives on both sides of the isle.

90% of the wealth concentrated in 1% of the population is no way to run a country but a heck of a way to establish a royalty ruling class. Yacht sales can not sustain 350 million people. I'm for the public option, competition and a level playing field or break up the big insurers like we did AT&T.

Since you have a bill of sale ask DMV to run a registration check on it. That will tell you who own the car and if it is stolen. Be sure to include not only the license of the car, but V.I.N. as well. If the car is stolen or a bank has title to the car, the seller committed fraud. You could also ask the police department to do the same. If the car is stolen you will have covered yourself and you can make out a report at the same time. The car will be impounded at that time. If the car title is in the name of the bank, you will have other options, but you will most likely loose the car unless the seller comes up with the cash to pay the bank off.
