four winns boats
Will a 120 HP or a 140 HP Mercruiser sterndrive motor fit in my 1994 Four Winns 170 Freedom boat?
It has a 135 HP OMC/Cobra in it with a cracked block right now.
Blackey is correct in there are two different crankshafts. The way around it is to match the correct engine coupler. You will need to use the OMC belhousing, coupler, and wire harness( different boat harness plugs). If the cranks are different, you will need a new coupler. The 135 hp omc is the same 3.0l as Mercruiser. The 140 is also a 3.0l, only older.
