Can I tow a 25ft wellcraft nova cuddy cabin twin 350's inboard?

With my Jeep grand Cherokee straight 6 4.0 4wd with a class 3 hitch? Not interested in going long distances or steep inclines... Dealer lists boat at 5000lbs, and I don't know about the trailer. Worried about stability?
Thanks Roger. Sorry for the mult. Post, couldn't edit. I feel a bit better about it now. Will be checking Monroe parts in the am!

around town, short distances on relatively flat roads below 45 miles per hour it should be fine, there was not enough information on the first question as we did not know what you wanted to do, launch the boat, or drive it to florida first. A set of heavy duty shocks would not hurt, a company named monroe has been around for 30 plus years and has good products and the prices are the best. If you added a load adjustor shock on the rear (has a coil spring around the shock) and a heavy duty shock to the front this will solve stability issues too. Trailer will be 6 to 800 lbs as a guess.
It all depends on the distance and how fast you plan to go. the only time the stability would be an issue is if you went above 45, below that no problem, also that is a lot of wieght when backing down a steep launch ramp or pulling out, use low range 4x4 this will be easy on engine and transmission. and make good and certian your Emergency brake is working good ,some emergency brakes work better when the vehicle is facing down hill. So make sure you can get your e brake tight enough to hold the boat on a boat ramp facing up hill. good luck, just take your time backing up takes a little practice. And do not forget to take it out of 4x4 when off the boat ramp.

“Instantly all my complicated ideas of how to fit extra seats and storage in the pilothouse disappeared when I saw how small the interior really is. The whole boat looks very compact and manageable laid out like this. In my mind it had grown huge and complicated.”

Hi, I don't know who you are yet… I haven't seen a personal profile… maybe I missed it.
Great blog though. I like the boat too… a mini tug, is it not.

Regarding the above passage: Isn't it neat how everything keeps getting larger in your mind's eye, and then your standing in front of the boat again and you suddenly realize all your grand ideas just won't fit ! I do this too. I'm not building but, restoring an old (1961) plywood power boat. A 17 footer with a cuddy cabin. I keep coming up with ideas about the seating… how long they will be, how wide, how much room there will be to lounge around… and then I walk into the shop and stand before my boat and think… I've gotta think smaller :(

Anyway… great site here, keep up the work. The pictures are great too.
I've added a link on my blog to this page, hope you don't mind.
