Viva Wyndham Maya Resort In Mexico?
Hi, I was just wondering if there was anyone on here that stayed at the Viva Wyndham Maya Resort in Playa Del Carmen? Did you enjoy your stay? Was the sun good there for tanning? Any tips and pointers?! (I know I can just go onto the reviews website, but I've read them all, so I'm looking for any other different answers!)
Oh, and I'm going there in February, so if you went there around that time, what was the weather like? Is that a good time of year to go to Mexico in?
Yes, that is a fine time to go to Mexico. It's actually one of the better months. It will still be nice and warm and yes you can gets lots of good sun for tanning. If you use strong sun tan lotion you can get really dark.
The temps will be in the mid 80's during the day and at night it won't get much cooler than around 70. It's a nice resort and I think you'll like it. The beach is nice and the water is a beautiful turquoise blue. I know you've read reviews and such, but check out the site I will link you to. It's on of the best for reviews and you can even look at pictures people took of the resort. All in all though you will have a great time and it's a nice place to stay. As far as tips.... try to only drink bottled water when possible in Mexico. Try to stay away from taxi cabs. They are very expensive and can charge you whatever they want. If you get the chance ride sea-doos (waverunners) in the ocean. It's a lot of fun. Also, check out Xel-ha. It's an ecological nature park and you can swim with the dolphins. If you like cultural things and history Chichen-Itza is fun to visit. Another fun thing to do is take a ferry over to the island of Cozumel and you can tour the island. They have all kinds of restaurants, shopping, etc. Something fun that you may enjoy.
