waverunner impeller
impeller making noise on waverunner?
I have a 97 daytona tigershark 1000. When out of water, there is a lot of noise coming from near the jet. I had one person tell me it was missing bushings in front of the impeller pump.. could this be it?? also there is smoke coming from the back, is this normal? thanks!
How hard is the bearings to replace?
The smoke should be from the 2 stroke motor, I am pretty sure no manf had put a 4 stroke on the water as of 97. I have a 2000 Yamaha and it makes the same rattle sound. Not sure waht it is but it has been doing it since day one.

'95 Yamaha Wave Venture (WaveRunner) bogs down over about 5mph?
I have a WaveVenture that my friend gave me and I know nothing about it. I got it running today, runs and idles perfectly, except over 5mph. If you try and give it a little more gas, it bogs down and if your quick you can save it from stalling. I know theres nothing in the impeller. When you pour some gas on the carb, it runs like mad. It's obviously just not getting fuel. I just changed the fuel filter, and also the primer/choke. Does anyone hve any suggestions??

Remove carb(s), disassemble, soak overnight in carb cleaner, blow out all passages with compressed air (or aerosol carb cleaner), reassemble with new carb kit(s), reinstall, link & sync, adjust mixture screw(s) (if equipped).
*Don't* run it like it is - any cylinders starving for fuel are also not getting lubrication.
