Does a Boat run faster or slower when there is a fine layer of oil on the water?
Was curious if boats run faster or slower with a little bit of crude oil on the surface of the boat or possibly a water ski ?
I suspect that a boat on a plane might be a little faster on oil ... but you will be sucking oil into your cooling system ... sounds nasty and dangerous to me ... as for water skiing or wakeboarding .. DO NOT FALL .. or be sure to close mouth, eyes and any other body openings that you don't want to stuff oil into ... have an ambulance ready to take you somewhere to be pumped out....

How fast should the boat be going while someone is water skiing?
we r going water skiing for the first time tomorrow and we dont know how fast to go
Since it's your first time, you will probably be using two skis. On two skis, the range is usually 18-20 mph for a beginner. Once you get better, you will want to go faster because it's easier. If you get good enough to ski on one ski, you will probably want to go 22-28 mph.
