Where should the prop be for wakeboarding?
I have a ski boat with an outboard that makes little wake. I don't know where to put the prop so that I can get the most/best wake. I usually put the prop close to all the way in. Does it even matter?
with an outboard you just want the prop all the way down then start weighting your boat to increase the wake. Weight in the stern to add wake. wake in the bow to make the wake a little more steep. weight mid-ship for balance port to starboard. should be broken into... 5% in bow 20% mid, 75% stern.....

The worst are the assholes with those idiotic wakeboarding boats outfitted with the 1000-watt sound systems with the “tower speakers” that reward my family on our regular nature trail hikes along the shore of the local lake. It's always a boat full of teenagers, out spending the day in daddy's $75,000 boat, with no regard for anyone else. I grew so fed up with this growing occurence that I wrote a letter of complaint to the regulatory agency in the state who is supposed to be out enforcing the noise laws. After doing some research on the net I learned that the idiots who wakeboard apparently want to listen to their “tunes” while “shredding” or whatever, and that usually means loud, obnoxious rap music.
