valuation of a fishing boats
Looking for info on an artist:Horst Alter - Own an original oilpainting/Seascape with attached note on back?
Artist born in 1925, Dusseldorf, Germany. His works are found in many important galleries in Germany and overseas countries. If anyone has more info on this artist and possible value, please contact me.

The only auction records I can find for Horst Alter date back to June 2002, when a piece entitled "Fisherfolk with Beached Fishing Boats" was sold at auction. The link to the page is attached, but you will have to register to find the price it went for.
His painting "Dunes - A Moment by the Sea" is (was?) on sale from the Rosenquist collection via Ruby Lane for 58,500 US Dollars (see link 2 below).
Horst Alter is also mentioned in the short critical appraisal of seashore paintings attached as link 3.

White grunts are (and have been) the main catch on recreational “party fishing” boats around here in Florida — they are not generally sought after by commercial fishing boats due to their small size I guess. They are one of the few fish locally that are generally numerous and still unregulated. Here is one fisherman's view of them:
