Twin Engine
On a twin engine jet is there a critical engine?
No, the term only applies to prop aircraft without counter rotating props.
The "critical engine" is the engine whose failure most adversely affects flight performance. On non-counter roting props the left engine is critical. This is because the desending blade produces the thrust and it is closer to the centerline of the aircraft than the descending blade on the right. Hence the center of thrust on the right engine is farther away from the fuselage on the right side, so if the left fails, aircraft controlability is most affected.
Jets do not have this problem as their centerline of thrust is equal from the aircraft centerline. So, you could say (jokingly) the "critical" engine on a jet like a 767 is the one left runnning!

I've never ran into a game warden like that here in California (most of them are pretty well educated on the fish and wildlife) but I sure as sh*t have run into rangers like that up at Casitas!
Looks like in the state Flori-DUHHH, the department of fish and game or department of natural resources or whatever you guys call it will hire any dumb schmuck right off the street.
Who do you complain to? The state of course! They're state employees.

Congratulations on the new Mustangs! I remember telling a CFI about a year ago that flight schools would be buying light jets for their training programs and he scoffed at the idea. Clearly, it makes a lot more sense to give new pilots time in a light jet than in an older piston twin-engine aircraft that they probably will never have to fly when they're hired. I know you use my “Max Trescott's G1000 Glass Cockpit Handbook” in your training programs. Good news–the 3rd edition already includes information on the G1000 differences found in the Mustang.
