ran my jet ski onto a pile of rocks?
so i ran my jet ski on a pile of rocks because i was about to get close lined by a wire and after about 20 minutes of having it in reverse and wiggling it off i finally got it off. I tryed getting a boat to help me get it off without running the engine but no one even bothered pulling over. But once i got it off it would only go 3 mph and if i tryed going faster it would vibrate. so i rode it like that for like 10 mins trying to get home and then i floored it really quick and it started working. But it goes 3 mph slower than it was and it has a slower start up time. Like before when i floored it just sitting still the top would pop in the air real quick but now it just starts up without that happening. what could be wrong with it?
Where did you learn how to operate a PWC? This sounds dangerously close to lack of proper training and recklessness on your part.
First off, why were you not paying attention in a hazardous area like a dock, harbor, or other similiar area?
Second, why did you not immediately check for hull damage or impeller and/or drive shaft damage?
Third, using propulsion as the primary way to free a boat or PWC that's ran aground is not a bright idea. You could have overheatted your engine or compounded the damage you already caused.
As for a solution, don't take any chances. Take it to a certified PWC shop and get it completely inspected and tested.
Forking out alot in repair costs will provide some extra incentive for you to pay attention next time.
