Do Sea-Doo sport boats handle waves better than an o/b prop?
I'm curious because I'm thinking that do to the jet propulsion, they offer a smooth ride on choppier waters.
its not really the impropeller its how much the boat weighs and how there made. But no for the most part a jet boat takes waves like a piece of junk. For the most part a O/B and I/O and a inboards are the best

Are Monterey Sport Yachts good quality boats?
I am looking to purchase the 2005 Monterey 322 express. It has a huge Beam to it for the boat and it only has 175 hours on the engines. it has a generator and everything. They are asking 84k. Is this a good price for this boat? Are monterey boats good quality in general?
Monterey makes a very nice boat, and many in that size are ABYC Approved. That means that the boat was built to more stringent regulations. Look for the ABYC plate on the helm. It'll also have the ABYC approval number stamped on that plate. Those are low hours for the model year and still barely broken in. Still, get a marine survey report before putting any money down. The report will tell you what's right with the boat and also problem areas. So don't let the seller try to evade you paying to have one done. Also, demand an on the water test drive of the vessel to check out that everything works to your satisfaction too.
