What is the most physically demanding sport?
I reckon it's sculling/rowing ! I've competed as a single sculler in severall events and have put myself through so much pain to the pont of puking and fainting after long ergo (rowing machine) sessions. One race I had to be lifted out of the boat I worked so hard, I can't imagine anything harder !
ROWING for sure! Before i encountered this marvelous sport 
I did it all. Soccer, Softball, volleyball, Cross Country... I always heard the other rowers talking about practice and such and I thought the pain involved with rowing couldn't even compare to my sports....WRONG ! Uncontrollable lactic acid build up, constant resistance, and most of all not being able to stop or take a break under ANY circumstances really sets it apart. However, none of the other sports can compare to the mental aspect of crew. The mindset telling us to stop is nearly impossible to conquer!
