small saltwater ski boat?
I would like to get a small salt water ski boat. i would like one cheap, anyone know the price for a used ski boat, under 17 feet?
best boat design for skiiing is inboard. and a factory installed ski tower makes it even easier (if its not factory installed or a factory option, there probably isnt enough support to mount one, meaning it would rip loose).
while some of the better brands have made 18' or smaller ski boats, standard now is 20+'
you would have to go used, water test it (actually drive it around) and take it to a marine service center for a mechanical inspection BEFORE purchase.
if teh seller isnt willing to allow both of those to be done, RUN AWAY. that boat is junk and the seller is looking for a sucker.
purpose built ski boats arent really meant for the roughness and size of swells you can have on the ocean. small boats are even worse on the ocean.
and if you are gonna use a boat on the ocean, get it out of the water and run it on a hose with fresh water to flush the motor and rinse the entire boat out after EVERY use. salt deposits can and will mess things up all over the boat.
even saltwater model motors should be flushed every time they are actually used in the ocean.
beyond that, price will change based on age, size, how equipped, how maintained, hours, and why its being sold.

You missed the Speakmon Regatta by one day. (it was Saturday) Rowers from ALL over, and the starting point is the Hayden Run bridge- finish line is past the Fishinger Bridge. Rowers use the whole river when the ski boats aren't out. During the height of the summer, they tend to stay south of Fishinger, and they're always close to the shoreline.
Had you gone on Saturday, you never would have found a place to park!!!!

Here's one comparison between these two very different cameras. Be sure to read the user reviews.
I've handled the Samsung at a local Target store and was impressed. But I've always liked the specs of the Panasonic line, too. (Geez, he's no help!)
Both cameras have the anti-shake feature that's important for you. But it looks like the Samsung may come out ahead. Even though the zoom is only a 5.4x, the extra megapixel resolution should let you crop the photos in your computer for a comprable or better image.
If there was a bigger difference in zoom ratios, I might suggest otherwise, but here, I think the Samsung comes out better. It felt solid in my hands and the interface was easy to use.
