new ski boats
I want to restore 1966 16.5ft tahiti ski boat. It needs a new gel coat as well as patching.?
What is the process to repair this. I am doing the transom and floor first. I am unsure how to fiberglass but think this is a good way to learn. what is the process to refinish the boat? I have looked at epoxy paints but there is just so much info? what would any of you recomend?

for gel-coat or paint, id go with a paint, the best is '" Awl-Grip" i've been painting multi- million dollar yachts for years with it, just because of the color choice and it last longer,and is harder then gel-coat. but it also depends on how much you want to dump into the boat. just doing the transom is gonna cost ya alot if you do it right.

Awesome First Ride in New Ski Boat
I am looking for a middle glass peice for my ski boat, does anyone know where i could find one at?
I have a ski boat. It has two windows in front of each seat. When i purchased the boat the middle glass peice was gone. I am pretty sure that there is suppose to be one there. Can anyone help me?
This needs to be tempered/safety glass. either go to the dealer (mastercraft, ski nautique, and malibu) will all be able to get you the right piece, no matter how old the boat.
Your other option is to take the measurements and have a custom piece made. there are local shops all around the world that can make this glass for you. Make absolutely sure it is tempered. Safety glass like a windshield would also suffice, but will be more expensive.
