followin on from my first post where i stated
"my name is dan jackson and my bsuiness partners is chris hewitt.
we are going to be selling jacuzzis, solid wood furniture,sofas and beds and rib boats
we want a name that suits a variety of products that maybe includes our initials
i was think thinking cj-leisure or jc-leisure
i want something with better ring to it though"
now i got some good replys but alot were too long for a ebay name.

HELP! I have found myself in an EBAy SCAM with the deal closed and the sailboat ocean bottom ready. PLEASE?
I had looked into a deal that should have screamed "too good" from the start - The boat has not been paid for with the buyer wanting cash in hand only yet the bids are closed. We spoke on the telephone and I was told that someone keeps bidding and I must do it now > being foolish I bid and the rest is a nightmare. I traveled up to see the boat with a friend who qualifies as a boat surveyor and the keel seems to be practically glued on. This was not mentioned even slightly in the add with something like "could use a good sanding on the deck" being the only problem stated. Is there any law on false advertising? Any advice would be a float to my sinking hope! Thank you for your time and beware the internet buying and selling power.
According to my law book. This comes under torts.You have a right, assuming you exercise reasonable sense and care, to be free from loss or harm suffered from the purchase of defective merchandise; and the courts will protect that right, awarding you damages from the seller. There or other laws covering, the sale of goods not belonging to you. You have the right to sue for damages, that is if you paid for the boat and it was not as advertised.

This hard to say. You may be able to just list it as a 1970's model boat windshield, boat type unknown. Then if a person need this, they will know what it is and bid.
Now, I want to explain a little about windshields. As far as worth, this will only be worth money to a person that need it and they not going to pay a lot with shipping. If, the windshield was curved (Say like the Bat-mobile for example) it may have more value. Flat Safety Glass can be bought at many sources. I had a 1954 F-100 Ford Truck years ago. The back glass was broke when I bought it. It was flat safety glass. I called around and had a magazine for this truck for parts. Everyone wanted $100 or more. A friend told me to call this local lumber company's glass shop (Windows and Doors stuff). I called and the man said; "If, it flat I can cut it, you want tinted or smoked"? I said tinted as that match the other glass. Took the old out for a pattern and he had it ready in 1 hour. Cost me $20. Same glass that come in cars! Now, had it been the curved front glass I would have had to pay the price for a replacement. Hope you understand what I say. Good Luck.
