best saltwater fishing boat
Looking for an experienced saltwater fisherman to answer some questions of mine.?
Hey, so basically as the question header says, I am looking for a Saltwater fisherman to answer some questions of mine about fishing in the Corpus Christi / Port Aransas Bay area, and I am NOT fishing on a boat (So I am going to be fishing off the Pier, surf, and maybe some Jetties) and basically i have a few questions about what the best type of fish to catch there are, what lures to use, and what fish can I catch that tastes the best for the grill. (Or whatever method). Thanks for the info.
First off there's a slot limit on redfish in Texas, 20-28". If you catch a 25 lb fish that fits in the slot I'll give you a million dollars. I know there's a redfish tag exemption for one fish over the limit but c'mon who really does that? This time of year over there Jetties are King! they hold plenty of bait and reds. Look up and down it for baitfish and diving birds. Use Soft plastics under atleast 1/2oz weight, cutbait, crankbaits or just about anything. I personally would stay away from the piers. As far as eating goes, Seatrout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead, trippletail and just about anything you catch is good. Except Catfish, ladyfish and a couple others. Email me for more info

The best saltwater trolling motor on the market - Minn Kota SF
where are good fishing spots (Snook) in S.E. Florida. I luv to fish, but dont own a boat. Any inshore tips?
Moved from NY to Ft Lauderdale and luv to fish but dont know the good inshore spots. Have tried under 17th street bridge. Also what are the best times to fish, especially for snook, but all saltwater/brackish tips will be appreciated.
Not sure on areas down that far, but big thing with salt and brackish water fishing is tidal movement... if you're out during slack tide, you won't catch nearly as much (if anything) as you will if you're out when the tide's moving (whether incoming or outgoing is better, you'll have to figure out on your own for your specific spots... main thing is moving water)
My method has always been to make friends with my local bait store people... well, maybe not friends, but you know what I mean... if anyone can point you towards fish without charging you, they can (or other local fisherfolk, but good luck trying to talk people out of their honey-holes)...
