Which would be the best eBay category to sell books about historic sailing-ships and modern yachts?
What I did was search all of ebay for historical ships. Then on the side column there was a link for Antiquarian and collectable under the books catagory.
I would suggest finding books like yours using google search and then searching on ebay.
Collectable for the historic books
Books for the other.

EDIT: Oh, just so you're not in suspense, I do like your writing. There are a few grammatical slip-ups (no wet-deck pun intended) but the description's quite poetic at times. You have good conflict and tension, and believable characters. Unfortunately my critique's a bit more negative, but that's what it's for – I did enjoy your story.
