It's a cool looking boat and a cool idea, but I'm not a fan of ski boats and tow boats in general. Too each his own, obviously, but I find ski boats great on flat water, but they rattle your teeth out once the wind picks up and there's even a mild ripple. The boats I covet are more along the lines of the aforementioned Donzi, or a Cobalt, or something else with a nice deep V that eats up the big waves.
I had several friends who had ski boats and lived in the Clear Lake area. . We used to put in at the Egret Bay Rd boat ramp under the bridge and boat across Clear Lake to Taylor Lake, Nasa Rd 1 also has a boat ramp but can get crowded on weekends. if the waves were to big there continued further north under Red Bluff Rd to the smoother waters which also had a slalom course. Would also sometimes go to Lake Conroe.
Are Boats and Jet Ski's Covered Under My Homeowners Policy?
It varies by state, But if it was a DUI or OWI, yes it does affect your license anywhere in the U.S., not sure about the speeding infractions……
you gotta be pretty rich to a) own a boat, and b) keep a boat. mooring is expensive and most people don't have houses with space enough to keep a boat on a trailer – land is scarce here!
from going round the Southampton Boat Show for years (though I won't claim to know much about boats) I'd say the price for a decent (new) boat would be in the region of £10,000 or more… for example:
edit: I'd also say that places to go boating might be hard to find. I've been looking for places to go kayaking for a while, and its not easy to find places in the South of England as a lot of rivers or lakes are privately owned. Some are part of parks that don't allow watersports. There's a kayaking club near me on the River Itchen but their fees are too high and my spare time is too little
