What advice can you give someone who is considering living on a sailboat?
I am an avid sailboat racer including several weeklong offshore races, but I've never lived on a boat before so I'm looking for advice and things to consider. I live in Houston.
Don't buy anything big or heavy.
Get a GPS.

Hey Kids! Nobody believes me when I tell them about how recently nobody knew about this internet thing! Life has been good, I retired from UUNET just after WorldCom bought us 19 '96. I did a little angel investing with Osborn Capital LLC and made a buck or too, getting out in '01, then settled into retirement in Key Largo, Florida and Boothbay Harbor, Maine. It's a nice existence, but I miss the intensity of the internet explosion thing that we all got to enjoy.
I waste my time now racing sailboats and running a couple of foundations. Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts.
