How big of a boat do you need to go fishing in the gulf?
I am thinking about buying a 24' Sea Chaser. 140gl. gas twin 125 Suzuki. Can i get 30-60 miles off shore in this?
Absolutley! I have a Proline 251' which is a little beefier, but only a single 250 Johnson, and I routinely take it out 30-40 miles. I think the Sea Chaser would be a great choice , since it would be a good inshore boat to!
Of course I'd always keep a eye on the weather, and Plan your trips accordingly. I wouldn't want to be out in anything bigger than 4-5' waves for an extended period of time in that boat.
