Bought this for my 11 yr old nephew's birthday. At first he said what's this, but once he figured it out he loved it. It's just the sort of thing a kid who loves to put together things, by himself and still have them work loves. Made it seconds after he opened all his presents, first thing he played with. Took him awhile to put together but not so long that he lost interest. Placed it in his pool and it took off, would have lost in a lake though.

My son loved this and said it actually floats. Not hard at all to put together -- took him (10 yrs) about 5 minutes or less to put together.

The motor's wires detached on the first attempt to connect it. This toy was junk, however we have constructed different models from the same maker that work great! I think we got a lemon.

Easy to assemble and fun to play with. My 6 year old loves it. We have purchased several 4M project kits with great results.
