My friend is 6'4 tall, he is taller than 96% of the men in this country. He said that he is better than any man shorter than him. He also laughs at guys who aren't muscular
He said its like how attractive girls are better than fat girls, does he have a point?
If you talk about body,he has a winning.However,if you want to get height,you must find professional doctor to solve your problem.
It is no meaning to compare your height with others. Everyone has own body condition. Those grow tall easily can be very tall even with serious grow-tall obstacles. But one bad habit may reduce or stop you from growth. All comment and advice here are written for those keen and hard to grow tall. Though taller the better, a 5'5" boy of 19 is not too short in USA. You have no need to look down yourself.

The MACHANISM of GROW-TALL

GOOD EXERCISE

In order to grow taller, you have to do jumping, stretching or swimming exercise to widen your spine and leg joint spaces. This is why persons without doing enough good exercise are usually short, wide or fat.

Hanging from a static bar is not as effective stretch as a vibrating bar of bus and train. But don't do this if you are heavier than 60 kg to avoid damaging the bar.
BAD EXERCISE
For difficult to grow tall person, avoid:
1. Too much or intense exercise: stepping stairs or running fast over 30 minutes, or playing basketball for more than 45 minutes a day, may be harmful to joint and bone without sufficient mineral and collagen.
2. Exercise reducing your joint space: lift weight, rowing boat, water or ice skiing;

3. Muscle strengthening exercises, especially for thin person: push up, sit up and loading;

4. Exercise mainly with horizontal movement is not good for vertical growth: football, running and cycling;
5. Hurting exercise: playing ball or rugby too roughly, fighting. But kungfu without fighting is OK.
6. Dr. Edison LEE has discovered that jumping can help only 32% teenagers to grow tall. About 38% has no effect. Frequently jumping too high (over 30cm) or too much is harmful to about 30% teens who are either insufficient in mineral or human growth hormone.
RUNNING MAY BE HARMFUL TO GROW TALL
Dr. Edison LEE found that running too much or too fast is harmful for persons difficult to grow tall. Running, football and cycling are exercise mainly with horizontal movement which is not good to help vertical growth. Fast running for more than 30 minutes a day may be too much for you. Your soft bone, growth-plate and joint may be hurt, subsequently retarding your growth.
