Does anyone know where I can get plans for a crank up pontoon trailer?
I have a 24 foot 1984 funtoon and would like to build a crankup trailer for it. I at one time had plans for the trailer, but they have been lost. Any help appreciated.

They offer plans for pontoon boats up to 30 foot. Glen L has been in the business since 1953 and very reliable. They also offer all the special hardware you'll need if you have difficulty sourcing it locally.

Would screw-cap bottles make a good buoyancy agent for a pontoon?
I am planning to build a pontoon using PVC pipes whose ends I will cap with hydrodynamically optimized end pieces. To ensure this thing stays afloat permanently on a salt water harbour, I was thinking about packing it with inserted, empty screw cap plastic bottles.
Would this work?
Absolutely. Saltwater will not deteriorate the plastic. The bottles will fit together nicely and even stack well. Great idea.
