How sea worthy are pontoon boats ?
I live in the Philippines and I am considering having a 32 X 10 foot, SS pontoon boat built. What sea conditions would it be reasonable to operate this boat in ?
Pontoon boats, deck boats, party boats, etc. No matter what you call them, the big open deck boats riding on two skinny pontoons are not meant for open seas. They are for use in protected waters only, such as rivers or lakes.

Hottest Pontoon Boats on the Water!

We stayed at Loon Lake Lodge & RV Resort an inland Oregon coast RV park that offers camping, boating and fishing near the coast. It's an excellent Oregon campground for deer and elk hunting! The lodge also offers cabin and yurt rentals.
The Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort is located about 45 minutes from Reedsport. It offers year-round resort Oregon coast lodging in cabins, yurts and motel rooms, or waterfront camping in scenic tent or RV park sites with full-hookups, satellite TV and Wi-Fi – all on one mile of lake frontage on the scenic Loon Lake. The marina offers jet ski rentals, boat rentals and pontoon boats.
The economic recovery has only just begun for me, but I AM still in the market. Do you also plan on mapping pontoon boats, pocket yachts, dinghies, and skiffs? I plan on naming it the SS Naman in remembrance of an old crab fisherman I used to know.
No sure this counts, and it wasn’t really that serious, but a bunch of friends and I rented a few pontoon boats at a lake and were drinking and partying. We had a bunch of fireworks we were setting off as it got dark, mostly the mortar type. In our drunk fun, we though MORE = BETTER so we lined up 9 tubes in a neat little square on the back of the boat and we were laughing so hard at our own brilliance that a cigar my friend had been smoking fell right out of his mouth and into one of the tubes. We all looked at each other and then movie style jumped overboard. These weren’t that big, other friends said it was more like a colorful firecracker and it didn’t even set the other tubes off. It did leave a few burn marks on the floor and the surrounding apolstry on the other side of the pontoon.
