how to clean a air filter on a waverunner?
hi i have a 1997 polaris hurricane andi was wondering how to clean out the air filter on it and also i would like to know how to tune in the carb and also where could i buy another air filter?
if its an actual cloth filter, and not from k&n, you just replace it.
if its a k&n, it will be marked as such and you buy a k&n filter kit for it and follow its instructions.
if its an actual air filter, it probably has the maker and number on it somewhere, and you should be able to get it or order it from any auto parts store.
why i keep saying IF?
its because many marine motors do not have air filters. they have flashback arrestors. its an all metal body with narrow fins of metal meant to frustrate a fireball in the event of backfire and keep it from igniting any fuel fumes in the engine compartment.
simply take some carb or brake cleaner and spray it clean. rinse with warm water, allow to dry fully before reinstalling.
