Any similar guides to the NADA guide?

Hi,

I need some info on the residual value of personal watercraft, and snowmobiles. I've looked into Kelley Blue Book, Canadian Black Book, as well as ALG. These companeis only offered values for automotives.

Apart from the NADA guide, is there any other companies that offer residual values for these type of recreational products (snowmobiling, personal watercraft)?

Thanks in advance!

The reason such guides exist for automobiles is to serve a robust market or the buying and selling of used examples and the leasing of new ones.

When it comes to other items that come in so many more individual varieties and for which there's far less of a standardized usage and market model, not to mention the absence of a broad leasing industry, there's just not the same kind of need to compile that kind of data because there's a limited audience willing to pay for its consumption.

If any such shadow market exists that engages in specialized leasing for these items, they likely compile their own information based upon available information sources of other similar items for sale or they base their lending and valuation calculations upon factors related more to the economics of lending rather than the item secured as collateral.

To obtain an accurate estimate, your best source is going to be the individual items being offered for sale at any given time by building your own consensus of classified, auction, and other advertised sources. If you just want to cut to the bottom-line and consult a business whose entire livelihood depends upon knowing accurate values of a diverse selection of items, talk to a bona fide pawn broker.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.
