18' Ski boat with 4.3 L V-6?
I have a 13" x 21 pitch prop on my 18' ski boat with the 4.3L V-6 and it is really slow coming out of the hole and will never get on plain when pulling a tube. What is the recommended RPMs for this motor and is a 13" x 17 pitch to much of should I just drop to the 19 pitch and also am i able to change to a 14" and how will this affect it performance.
WOT range on the 4.3L is 4400 - 4800 rpm. Your boat is probably a bit underpowered for pulling a tube, but I would advise you to look at a 4 blade prop, which will give you a much better holeshot. If you have the money, Mercurys Vensura SS would be a good choice, if you are on a budget, then choose the Alpha 4 aluminium.
If your I/O currently runs in the WOT range, use a 20" pitch. On most 4 blade props, every inch of pitch added equals about 200-250 rpm. Remember also that the we are trying to attain a WOT rpm of 4400 to 4800 with the boat under normal load (not towing a tube or skier).

You missed the Speakmon Regatta by one day. (it was Saturday) Rowers from ALL over, and the starting point is the Hayden Run bridge- finish line is past the Fishinger Bridge. Rowers use the whole river when the ski boats aren't out. During the height of the summer, they tend to stay south of Fishinger, and they're always close to the shoreline.
Had you gone on Saturday, you never would have found a place to park!!!!

I am with you 100%… I went out to do some photography for the “youth lake day” and, although it was fun to ride around on 2 ski boats and a sea-doo all day, when I got home, I was totally warn out and burn in various places I had obviously missed by the spf 75 I put on.
