Magnum Mercury
22" tires for a truck?
i have a pair of 22" rims that i brought off of craigslist last yr the seller said the rims came off a magnum, they fit my 2001 mercury mountaineer but now i need new tires the tires i have now are 265/35/22 a guy on C L. have 2 sets of tires 265/35/22 for a magnum & 265/35/22 106h for a truck which should i get? & how would i know if they fit before i buy thx....

95 mariner magnum 40hp need help and info!?
I just bought a 95 Mercury Mariner Magnum 40hp for my 15 1/2 foot glassport boat. The motor is hand controlled and I would like to make it pilot powered and have no idea how and what I need to do it. The boat now has a evinrude 9.9 with omc controls. My main goal is to hook them both up and have the 9.9 as a kicker, but i first need to know how to change the Mariner over. Any info would be great. Thanks!
Go to the Mercury dealership in your area. Tell them what you want to do. Have the model and serial number of your motor handy. They can order exactly what you need.
You will need a console to attach your steering wheel to , and you will have to have a steering wheel, steering cables, and a kit to adapt it to your motor. You will have to have the throttle and shift controls to fit that particular motor. You need to locate a mercury mechanic in your area to do the work for you if you are not mechanically inclined- The dealership has mechanics that will do it , but the shop labor in my area has hit $85 an hour. I just had a Mercury 60 horse 4 stroke with a tiller converted to controls and steering wheel . It works fine! Good luck with your project!
Almost forgot- you need to know where you are going to place the steering wheel so you can get the correct length cables for the steering .
