lowe boat
could you fish lake champlain in a 14' lowe jon boat with 8 hp mercury and 40lb thrust trolling motor?
You could I guess but be very careful. I love jon boats and have owned mainly 12 foot with 7 and a hal horse motor. I know have a 15 foot with a 15 horse motor and it does handle waves better but I still stay from rough open water. Jon boats are best suited for smaller bodies of water and creeks and rivers.

I just did a search on CRAIGSPAL -- it looked at every CRAIGSLIST in the US and found over 20 used Lowe Roughnecks selling from $16,000 to $3,495...
I've always found that it's more economical to buy a used boat -- that first trip out of the dealer's parking lot is expensive! Also used boats usually come with a lot of gear and extras.
