I need a new sailboat for pacific coast sailing, at least a 36' cruiser. What brands are best?

Want a liveaboard/ coastal in SF bay area that's able to sail to mexico. There's a boat show coming up, what brands are the best?
Want a 36'-50' sloop. OK if 2 years old or less. Want to spend about $200K.
Thanks,
~Lword

Around three. It could be a lot less too. I just saw a couple completely viable liveaboard sailboats go at impound auction in Everett for around $500 bucks each. The thing is, they’re sold “as is,” so I’d expect to put a lot of work and a couple thousand into one. But even still, that’s not too expensive. [Port of Everett auction Check out what they have available. A few of the ones that page look like they could make wonderful liveaboard boats… I like the look of that 1930 30′ Ketch or the 1966 43′ Colonial Richardson (at a glance, I don’t know details on them). You’re on your own to find awesome cats and a dog for your boat though. Feel free to ask here or PM me if you’re really interested: I’d be happy to skype, phone, or e-mail about pros, cons, how-tos, etc if you really want to go the liveaboard route.
