Is a verbal commitment to a dealership binding?
I recently took my motorcycle to a dealership and sold it on consignment. I had VERBALLY agreed to use the money to help pay for a Jet Ski. The Jet Ski did not have a trailer so they said they would find one (and they did) it took over a month however to get one. In the meantime, randomly a boat that a really like came up for the exact price of what my motorcycle sold for.
I understand that this is screwing over the dealership, and I have offered to pay for the trailer, but am I legally obligated to by the Jet Ski? They are not giving me my money from the motorcycle sale (which they took a commission on) and are telling me there is no other option except for me to buy the Jet Ski.
PLEASE HELP!!
A verbal agreement is the same as a written agreement if the parties met the terms of the agreement.
The dealer found you the jet ski and the trailer, that was their half of the deal that you agreed to. They met their obligation. The deal is binding.
You agreed to buy the jet ski if they found you a trailer and they did find the trailer. Enjoy your new jet ski.

Congratulations to the Niagara Parks Commission in promoting the preservation of sensitive lands around the Falls and along the Niagara River corridor.
Hopefully the Feather Glen will consider using the building on site as an eco centre for learning rather than a place to buy tickets for jet boat rides in the Niagara River corridor.
