javelin fishing boat
question for experienced omc johnson outboard mechanic?
i have a 1993 javelin boat with a 93 150 fast strike 6 cyl on it. and needless to say my oiling system went out and im to broke to get it fixed so my question to you is what do your recommend i mix my oil ive heard alot of variations i just dont want to mix to little or to much i hope someone can answer this for me quick cause fishing seasons comming up in alabama and im ready to go lol
I would advise you to save your money and replace your VRO pump ($400, or about 10 tanks of premix). If this option doesn't work for you, premix your fuel at 50:1.

Carl Safina's piece is great for information and images. Very educational, thank you. I will attempt to post it also, Kristy. His image of a dolphin coming up next to a fishing boat and blowing oil out of its blowhole is incredible. It sounds as if the dolphin was trying to communicate what had happened to it to the human species which is responsible.

A quick primer: Vietnam and China were among the first to chart the islands during ancient times and therefore cite historical claims. Malaysia and the Philippines pretty much cite geographic proximity and claims of recently established sovereignty. Vietnam and China are the major players in this dispute. China wants to resolve this bilaterally while Vietnam wants to team up with ASEAN. Vietnam has also begun pleading with the US to step in, but I doubt it will in any meaningful way. My guess is that China will engineer a few more of ‘fishing-boat incidents’ as an excuse to police the area more heavily in the future and eventually begin oil-drilling operations. I don’t see any outcome other than China winning this dispute – no one is in a position to pick a fight with the Chinese right now or in the near future. And to be frank, China’s claims are at least as legitimate as Vietnam’s – which is to say that both nation’s claims are tenuous at best. It is however, convenient for the Chinese that the entire region is sits in the South *China* Sea. Heh.

The Man Who Sued God is a 2001 Australian movie in which Billy Connolly plays Advocate Steve Myers, a disillusioned lawyer who becomes fed-up with the perceived corruption within the judicial system. He quits the law business and buys a small fishing boat and takes up fishing for a living. His fishing boat is struck by lightening and explodes into pieces, burns and sinks. He informs his insurance company, who review and then subsequently decline his claim on the grounds that they are not liable as his fishing boat was destroyed due to an 'Act of God'. Frustrated that his claim is repeatedly declined, Steve files a claim against God, naming church officials as representatives of God, and thereby the respondents. The church leaders, their respective lawyers, as well as their insurance company get together to find a way to settle this dilemma, which does catch the fancy of the media. It is in Court that God's representatives will have to admit that the destruction of Steve's fishing boat was actually God's Act, accept it, and compensate him, or deny it altogether, and thereby deny God's existence, and leave the onus on Steve to prove his claim.
