houseboats for two
What's a good place for a small family reunion within 5 hours of Syracuse, NY?
My sister's family (6 people) came out here to CA last summer. In 2007, the California Crew (7 people) will go back to NY. The family is: grandparents in their 50s, 6 kids & spouses in their 30s, and grandkids who will be ages 2, 4, 6, 8, & 10. There are 13 of us in all. Our ideal spot would be Niagra Falls, but we all want to stay together in a large house and I can't find short term lets there. I've considered houseboats & barges, but we'd have to get two. That would be okay. Also, we all like cities, but find the New York City & Boston Hotels out of our reach. Any thoughts, please???
How about Albany, NY? Your family can easily fly in there. All kinds of housing is available. Some of the places families can visit in and around Albany either for free or inexpensively include the NY State Museum, minor league baseball, the Saratoga Racetrack, the Saratoga Performing Arts (SPAC), Lake George, and NYC is by train is just 2 1/2 hours away. Have fun.

2007 Houseboat Day Two
Help finding Japanese Indie Film released in late 90's early 00's. Setting is on a houseboat.?
I am looking for a Japanese film that I remembered watching on the Sundance channel. I never got the time to finish the film because of time constraints and somehow I magically remembered some of the setting of this movie and I would like to see it.
There are two main characters possibly a husband and a wife but they looked like they were having problems with each other. They lived on a tiny house boat (only one room with a bed). They also had a boat and the wife would always try to escape from the house boat but the husband would never let her leave.
I don't remember any other characters than those two and no other setting than a houseboat on the lake. If you could help me find this film I would greatly appreciate it.
Sorry, it wasn't the Muddy Water film. It was a little more modern and an independent film. That I am pretty positive of.
I'm not very sure, but "house boat" reminds me this film.
