How would you market a marine engine repair business from a houseboat?
Let's say you wanted to start a marine engine repair business on your houseboat, how would you do it. Would this be hard considering the base of operations is always moving?
I've actually thought about it here in the Sacramento river delta system, being a river rat and all, but the problem I figured would be to ge my pontoon boat/barge to the person that needed the work, hate to say it but fuel ain't cheap and boats get crappy mileage, as far as moving? Dude have you ever spent any extended time on a boat? you get sick when you get back to dry land, as in its not moving, and your brain has to adjust again. I hate that! but as far as repairs on the water IDK there's already company's like vessel assist that will do minor repairs to get you going or tow you in to the nearest service dock. I think the big one one around here will be a tow taxi for all the bars and clubs on the river, they bust people for BUI's like there going out of style around here. tow or drive them back to there birth safe and sound without that $2500 dollar boating while intoxicated beef.
