Do houseboats gain equity ? Especially new builds? (sold say 5 years after purchase?)?
I am interested in buying ahouse boat , and i am wondering what the situation is with equity , selling the boat on in future?
Especially with new developments with regards to future security for tenure of residential moorings , and the rising prices of steel...
What about a new build ? ie you design, and have built, can you then sell them for a profit ?? from what you built the house boat for? and then provided a residential mooring?
To be honest, the mooring will probably be your best investment. Look for somewhere up and coming
I know that there are some people in the norfolk broads will sell boat shells and stuff to build your own - they quote about 50% profit on outlay, but it's a lot of work.

Where can I find someone to give me a loan for a houseboat if I have bad credit? I filed bankrupcty about 8 months ago.
Call Banks and look for REPO's.. most banks are willing to let you take over payments, even with bad credit.. If you goof they just resell it.But they need to have someone paying on it as it coast them, if its sitting there...LOL ROB
