What is the value on a Bayliner Trophy 2159?

I am looking at a 1991 Bayliner Trophy 2159. It has the Alaskan Bulkhead, with the back curtain. It was repowered with a 350 5.7 and a Mercruiser Cobra outdrive in 2008, along with a new tandem axle trailer. Both exhaust manifolds are cracked, fixing it myself would cost around 600, having the dealer do it 11-1200. It has many options including a yamaha kicker, radar, fish finder, electric anchor, and inflatable life raft packed in the drum.
The seller wants 8,000. I've seen them go anywhere between 8-14. The boat is in great overall condition. If I pay 6800-7000, and fix the manifolds, am I getting a good deal? And could i sell it for more than 8?

The price sounds a little high with cracked manifolds.

Are you 'sure' that just the manifolds are cracked? Usually, if the manifolds are cracked, the block is too. Check between the freeze plugs on the block. Thats the normal spot to see cracks in the 350.

I would low ball the seller, fix it, but dont expect to sell it for more than $8k. Its a 20 year old Bayliner. There are a lot of variables too - was it used in salt water? When was the last structural survey? Hows the transom? Any moisture in the stringers?
