How can I get a job on a fishing boat in Mexico?
I realize this is a long shot, but I'm trying to get an entry level job working on a boat (fishing or otherwise) in Mexico. I speak English and Spanish. Thanks.
This is going to sound ironic, but finding work in Mexico will be hard, no matter how fluent you are. We live along the Tx/Mx border, and the local docks around Brownsville and Port Isabel are teeming with out of work (in Mexico) mexican fishermen.
The only thing close to working on a boat in MX is to check with local fishing tour groups and see if they need extra hands. Be sure that you also have at hand all your legal requirements to work (whether in US waters, which means you will need TWIC, MMD, and a few other papers) or similar documents on the Mexican side.
Be aware that any type of boating/fishing along the Mexican borders were already having problems even before this recession.

It appears someone behind Google Earth software is trying to tell humanity the Truth of what's happening in the Gulf of Aden.
Makoto Nagano. I can’t believe that seven hours and over one-thousand comments have gone by and no one’s mentioned this guy. Seriously, he’s the only guy to win the Sasuke (Ninja Warrior on G4) competition more than once. He’s in his 40s, runs a commercial fishing boat, is in better shape than *any of us* were ever in, even in our prime high school days. Also, he’s the most super-humble guy, uncompetitive and totally supportive of all of his competitors. When he won Total Victory, he wasn’t too ashamed to cry tears of awesome. I did the ctrl+f search (okay cmd+f – I’m on a Mac) for his name and was seriously, seriously dismayed no one’s mentioned Nagano yet. Check this out: I couldn’t find a better video with a less creepy narrator, but you get the picture.
