fish and ski boats
Suggestions for a boat to ski/fish/tube under 1,500lbs.?
I just bought a Honda CRV with a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs. I am looking to purchase a boat/trailer that my car will be able to tow. I can find several small fishing boats that my car will have no problem towing. I would like to be able to ski/tube also. Any suggestions on a boat/trailer that is under 1,500 that I can ski/tube/and fish with?

Barefoot Booms to Fit Fish and Ski Boats
What are the pros and cons to an inboard/outboard motor vs a regular outboard motor?
I am looking to purchase a ski/fish boat, and was wondering what type of motor would be best, and why.
that is mainly a matter of choice . the outboard puts more load strain on the transome of the boat and is easier to have stolen . the I/O is more solid and safer in these aspects and with the proper care last just as long if not longer than the outboards. As for power............you can get 350hp outboards
and you can get 500hp I/O units........as for maintenance.......change the oil........plugs...........store it properly ...........drain all water so it dosen't crack in a freeze.....thier about the same overall..............
It basically boils down to what you want your boat to have and can afford.

from experience (i got family in the uk and have visited a couple of times) loads of people have their own speedboats and go out on the lakes water-skiing. i don't think as many people do it compared to the US for a few reasons:
1. english weather is generally pretty miserable and it's cold most the year round
2. not as many people in the UK as in the US obviously
3. we could fit all the lakes in the UK into one of ours!! their lakes are like ponds!!
decent speed-boat would set you back about £30,000. thats like $60,000
i've never been to scotland
