are there snakes and scary fish while water skiing?
k as weird as this sounds, i want to know realistically if anyone has ever encountered any water snakes or scary fish while water skiing? I am terrified of both but really want to learn how to water ski :/
Why YES there are all kinds of dangerous marine life in the fresh water and ocean waters! But YES they are more afraid of you and stay away from loud human noises (engines, etc).
In the midwest- USA-- there are WATER MOCCOSSIN snakes-- very deadly to adult humans... alligators and crodcodiles are usually very protected in specific areas and the DFG in your area will have postings and NO BATHERS allowed signs all over.
So generally speaking-- if you are in a well used public water area-- fresh or salt-- and there are no signs or warnings posted--- the protective agencies don't like to have even one human life on their record ... so it is very RARE and unlikely if you stay in the public use water areas -- you won't ever experience any dangerous marine life-- just dangerous and ignorant human-- boaters, divers, jet skiers....;-) The more YOU know; the better off you will be.

Have this bighuge ‘Earth’ jacket with about 8 pockets coz madefrom 5 pairs of jeans, lined in a thick satin & the lapels are madeof FISH SKIN. It;s from the Northern Territory. Was told it was Barramundior salmon.Have a huge trunk in which i place interesting & timeless pieces,sometimes pack items away for couple of years, then re-find.It’s a game i play with myself & full of surprises. Freshwater fish in general aren't too good for you.I think tilapia is freshwater,but I'm not sure.I tried it once and it sucked.Sardines in olive oil is super.Unlike chicken skin,fish skin isn't unhealthy.
saltwater fish from cold waters are the best to eat.Try arctic char if you ever get the chance.It costs a fortune at Whole Foods,but at Dave's Marketplce it is much,much cheaper and they get it at the same place.Whole Foods is a ripoff if you ask me.
Saltwater fish fom warm waters like grouper and mahi-mahi is tricky stuff.Among other things,they are prone to ciguatera poisoning,which cooking doesn't help,as it would with e coli.Ciguatera poisoning sounds like about as much fun as being stung by a black widow spider.
Best bets:sardines,mackerel,cod,haddock,halibut,char,wild salmon,flounder,turbot.turbot only comes pre-frozen,but it doesn't lose flavor or texture.
I love tilapia because it's a mild fish. I don't eat any other seafood except shrimp either. But last week our friends took us to this restaurant called Recess and there are only two options on the menu. I had to eat fried smelt (lil fish, skin on, heads off) and cod cheek (skin on). I totally surprised myself by eating that weird stuff, but it was actually good!

Cats are neophobic (i.e. they are afraid of anything they don’t know). Refusal to eat a variety of food is especially a problem with indoor cats. Are your cats indoor-only? The reason why is because they are exposed to only one kind of food and thus only trust this kind of food. If they go outdoors they hunt and eat a large variety of items: bugs, mice, birds, etc. To simulate this for indoor pets you need to continually change up what you offer them. Give them table scraps one day, then wet food of different makers, then ground beef, or fish skin, etc.
