extreme powerboats
RYA Powerboat level 2?
I though anyone could just get in a boat and sail it?
or is this not the case?
do you need to take a RYA Powerboat course?

In Ireland and the UK a licence is not needed for a private boat big or small. but is really makes sense to do a course and once you have done the level 2 you can get a ICC international cert of com.... means you can rent jet ski's and boats, as Italy Spain and many central european countries require a licence, Irl and Uk will one day too, get it know before they make it harder only for the sake of profit, at present its well organised by the RYA (UK) or ISA (IRL). Best of luck if you are from dublin, there is a school in Dub Laoghaire and another in malahide. I have been involved in boats for over 20 years, can do amazing things with them. I am above and beyond the level of EXTREME NUTTER, but I'm now also a qualified instructor, learnt a lot from the RYA and ISA courses. on average less than 300 to get your licence, do a little reading, and you will save your life and that of others. a little knowledge goes very far in the boating world.
you'll never regret it. you will above all feel much SAFER. don't forget your PFD and or life jacket, find out what the difference is between the 2. Take care
