jet boat engine question?
I have a 69 396 chevy jet boat engine. On one side the breather has tons of oil blow by. Does worse the more rpms I push. I have changed the gaskets because they were old, and also put baffled valve covers and breathers on both sides. whats wrong what should I do.
Sounds like you have bad valve seals, this can be confirmed by a leakdown test. Escaping gasses are pressurizing the valve cover chamber, causing the blow-by. Time to have the heads rebuilt.

If you're talking about a two stroke engine, it can't be done.
The oil won't dissolve in ethanol. The more ethanol, the less lubrication the engine gets, the more wear and tear it suffers.
Now, to make this even more fun, ethanol is hygroscopic. The higher the concentration of ethanol, the more it wants to soak water out of the atmosphere. So now you've got something that won't mix with oil, soaks up water, and both of these are the death spiral on two stroke lawnmower engines.
