ebay boat for sale
How do I erase everything from my broken computer to sell it?
I have a couple broken laptops. I just want rid of them so I was going to sell them on ebay or something but I need to delete stuff right. Is there an easy way to set it back to factory or something? I don't want somebody to get it and get my info or something from where I've ordered things or something. What if you can't even turn one on? How can I sell that one?
You'd better flag the ads with a notice that the machines are for parts only; that they may not work. Anything less than that would be fraudulent, get you in trouble with eBay, and void the sale (meaning you'd have to give the money back).
The expectation when buying a computer is that it works. Maybe not perfectly, but well enough to be used as a computer, not a boat anchor.
