When I was in retail (electronics) The Indians were the worst. They seemingly have no concept of Capitalism.
This was a typical Sunday morning:
"How much is this laptop?"
As you can see by the price tag it's $399
"No,No No, that is far too costly, how much for me?
$399
"How much if I buy today
$399
"I will pay that if you give me a case and a mouse"
The computer is $399, the case and external mouse will cost extra
"I want to speak to you manager"
I am the manager
"Can I get a discount?"
Why?
"10% off for me today?"
No
"What is your corporate phone number?"
It's posted at the front of the store, as well as by the customer service desk. Is there anything else I can help you with?
"I do not like the customer service here, I am going to call your office"
okay
Then the guy will vow never to set foot in the store again, but needless to say, next time there is a $399 POS laptop on sale he and rest of his brethren will be the first ones in line before the store opens.

So right, Joss, so right. These people are so many light-years away from the real-life world of writing, they are clueless about what they are asking. And their children all write in to B&A saying, "I am 12 years old and I have written my first novel. Will you edit it for me?" Clearly they are equally clueless about how much work it is to edit _anything._ As to what to do about these dolts who would have people waste their entire lives doing them free favors? The best response I have come up with so far is to…ignore them. Sigh.
